Synopsis

The book “Excel for Sugar Engineers and Technologists,” while specifically written for sugar technicians and professionals, can also serve as a reference manual for application in other professions or fields of knowledge, such as engineering, health sciences, agronomy, economics, administration, and more. This is especially true due to the multiple calculation functions available, including mathematical, engineering, financial, statistical, database, cube, date and time functions, among others, that Microsoft Excel offers in its various versions. Additionally, this software allows for the creation of custom functions and programming codes for more complex tasks.

To encourage reading and demonstrate its usefulness, the book begins with simple examples using an Excel spreadsheet, explaining step by step how to enter data, formulas, and/or functions in each cell. This strategy is maintained throughout all the chapters to ensure the reader's understanding is clear and straightforward.
