Synopsis

The following work is important, as it not only reminds us of a decade of the Constitution and what has been accomplished during that time, but also points to the pending debts and what still needs to be done. In Milestones of the Ecuadorian Constitution, Professors Solano Paucay and Aguilera Crespo have gathered a group of scholars who have rigorously examined the main constitutional issues that remain relevant: the concept of a constitutional state, the interpretation of the Constitution, the nature of power, constitutional reform... These issues are more relevant than ever, as they are part of the theoretical framework that any Constitution must encompass. A Constitution that is not revised, that fails to engage the academic community, and about which nothing is written, is a dead Constitution.
