This work is a collection of articles, editorials, and opinion columns by Hugo Darquea, published in the newspaper El Mercurio de Cuenca. It begins with an initial testimony that emotionally and succinctly highlights the contributions detailed in this publication. The central section starts with a first chapter that links, within a single framework but with a multifaceted approach, the symbiotic relationship between axiology and education as cornerstones of society, featuring 28 articles that combine philosophical critique with a distinctly academic orientation. The second chapter articulates the author’s concerns about law, providing key insights that allow for the understanding of legislation from various perspectives, always with a focus on democracy and the Social State of Law. The third and final chapter addresses reflections and viewpoints on different aspects of political and civic engagement, including literary, sociological, and general interest writings, complemented by a personal perspective on home and family.
