Trayectoria histórica de Azogues

Regarding the content and form of the book, after the process of reordering and editing, we find chapters that many might call plagiarized (nothing is hidden under the sun). In truth, many data have been drawn from various sources, as noted in the writings. However, the essence of this text is to remind many and to introduce others to what our small yet significant city experienced throughout its historical journey from its earliest times. This work helps to revive what has been forgotten: a culture that originated in a semi-symbiosis with the civilizing force coming from Spain. It was a long struggle to accept the radical changes imposed by force, which had been ingrained for centuries through the conquerors' drive to amass great fortunes by oppressing the conquered.
