Los orígenes de la imprenta en Ecuador

The text presents a research study focused on the origin and evolution of the printing press in Ecuador, and determines that it was introduced by the Jesuits in Ambato during the last third of the 18th century. The second edition of this work is now presented to the city of Azogues in the context of the Bicentennial of its freedom and the fifty years of the Catholic University of Cuenca, and serves as a tribute to the sons of the free-spirited people of this city.
